Shahstradhara will be developed as tourist destination
dehradun The Chief Minister Harish Rawat laid the foundation of parking place in Shahastradhara on Monday. While addressing the gathering, during the program, the CM Shri Rawat said that Shahstradhara will be developed as tourist destination. A plan will be prepared for taking help from locals in the management of these tourist destinations. He said that the government is trying to develop parking facilities in Mussoorie. He added that approval of more than Rs. 100 crore has been given for Mussoorie in last two years. He added that survey will be done for the development of artificial lake in Shahastradhara.
The CM Shri Rawat said that innards will be developed in the national highways and tourist destinations. Uttarakhandi dishes will be served there and arrangements will be made to show and sale for the local handicrafts. The condition of roads is now better than before. The state government is trying to develop our villages as production centers, so, we have taken decisions in this regard. The government is encouraging local products to revive the rural economy.
The CM stated that we are trying to link all schemes run by the government with the livelihood. The government is making efforts to generate job opportunities in the state. Nearly, 12000 people have been appointed by the government. He stated that incentive is also being given for planting trees.
The Tourism Minister Dinesh Dhanai said that local people will also be benefited from this parking. The state government is working according to the spirit of state formation movement. Demand of Manduwa and Jhangora is also being increased now.
The MLA Ganesh Joshi, the Chairman of Municipal Corporation Mussoorie Manmohan Mall and Jot Singh Gunsola with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
