Second World War soldiers increasing monthly pension
Dehradun The Ex-servicemen Association honored Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat in a program organized in the Janta Milan hall at CM residence on Sunday. Ex-servicemen expressed gratitude to the CM for increasing monthly pension of the Second World War soldiers and their widows from Rs 4000 to 8000. On receiving the relaxation of 03 centimeters in the length of army recruitment for youth of Uttarakhand, the CM was honored for the efforts made by him.
Addressing the function on this occasion, CM Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand is a land of heroes along with the ‘Devbhoomi’. He said that it was the government’s responsibility to take care of the families of those brave soldiers who put their lives at stake to protect the country. He said that the government has given financial support only but we have to worry about the martyr’s family as a whole. The Chief Minister said that he was considering on giving overall assistance to the families of the martyrs. For this, he also asked the ex-servicemen to give suggestions. He said that all the suggestions for the welfare of the soldiers will be seriously considered.
