Dehradun Promotion process would be started as soon as possible to fill up the posts of principals to be filled up through promotion in the State. While inaugurating the Education Up gradation Conference and Provincial Conference organized by Governmental Principal Association at MKP Inter College on Tuesday Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Harish Rawat announced. Chief Minister Shri Rawat stated that education sector needs innovation if we want to make a noticeable space in the world. Teachers and principals would be playing a significant part for the purpose.
Highlighting the role of principals in the system Chief Minister of the State Shri Rawat added that principals are promoter, guides and philosophers of education sector. Principals should come forward to support innovation in education world. Principals have important responsibility to prepare education sector to face the contemporary challenges. Chief Minister Shri Rawat said that only 25 percent of posts of principals were engaged two years ago. We tried to fill up the posts as much as possible.
Chief Minister Shri Rawat declared that now principals would be able to recruit sweepers in their schools at own. State Government is making every possible effort to fulfill the every rightful demand of all the employees including teachers. Problems arise due to mutual differences among various cadres. Seventh Pay Commission would be implemented soon. If discrepancies remained in Sixth Pay Commission that would also be considered after implementation of Seventh Pay Commission positively.
We have to expand our resources. Model schools and Rajiv Gandhi Abhinav Schools are being started to improve the education quality by Uttarakhand Government. It is matter of immense happiness that 4-5 percent improvement in results has been noticed during last one year. Today Uttarakhand is fastest growing State. We are number one at Ease of Doing Business. We would be completely open defection free by following 9th November. We would have to look forward. We would be known as prosperous state through collectively efforts, Shri Rawat underlined.
Education Minister Shri Mantri Parsad Naithani said that we had lot of complications in our education systems which are being sorted out gradually. One hand, teacher’s problems are being addressed while other hand, various programs and schemes have been initiated to improve education quality by State Government with proactive approach.
