Mukhya Mantri Swasthiya Bima Yojana second phase
Dehradun Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Harish Rawat inaugurated second phase of “Mukhya Mantri Swasthiya Bima Yojana” the ambitious scheme of State Government assuring every citizen of the State of complete financial assistance for medical treatment on Monday at CM House at New Cant Road.
Chief Minister Shri Rawat said that Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana is beneficial for all including citizens, State Government and private hospitals. State Government is going to spend a big amount to implement the scheme this year so private hospitals should come forward to join the initiative of State Government in public interest. Private hospitals might expand their facilities in hilly regions of the State under the Scheme. In future, State Government might consider revising the present limit of Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand with increment. Emphasising on the extensive mass awareness campaigning to make scheme highly successful Shri Rawat appreciated the role of ASHA workers in rural regions and expressed trust on them he further said that ASHA workers should accept it as a challenge. The Chief Minister informed that directions have been issued to ensure that minimum Rs 5000 per month must be provided to ASHAs in any circumstances. Thus, Uttarakhand will be first State across the nation to take such initiative.
