LED light training programme started by Uttarakhand government

DEHRADUN .Union Energy Minister R.K.Singh in tweet praised the LED light training programme started by Uttarakhand government. In his tweet, the Union minister said that the training programme will not only help the women self-help groups financially but will also help conserve energy.

In has to be mentioned that on Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had inaugurated the training programme of women Self-help groups at Thano in Balasundari temp[le premises. He promised women participants that the government would help market the products produced by women. He had also announced that the second phase of the training would be started at Kotybagh in Kumaon region and the state government propose to start the programme in all the Nyaya Panchayats as growth centres.

 He said that women self-help groups are being encouraged to make them economically self sufficient through these training programmes. He said that it was necessary to give opportunities to women and would also help make the Prime Minister’s “ Beti Bachao,Beti Padha” a success. He further said that economic empowerment will ultimately empower women. He expected that women who get training would further get expertise in LED light training and such programmes would be taken to the village level to promote self-employment. He said that such initiatives would help local products and help check the sale of Chinese products.

 In the initial phase of training, the women were trained in making LED bulbs,tubelight, solar emergency lights and fancy lights. The training was for five days.
