‘Grahani Soar Cooker Sahayata Yojna’ at entire state.
dehradun The Chief Minister Harish Rawat reviewed the various programs operated by UREDA at Bijapur Guest House on Tuesday. While reviewing the meeting the CM directed to start ‘Grahani Soar Cooker Sahayata Yojna’ at entire state. Under this scheme, Dish Solar Cooker will be distributed by the UREDA. Solar cooker will be distributed at Rs. 500 for BPL families and Rs. 900 for others as a beneficiary contribution.
The CM asked to prepare two thousand small solar energy producers in the state in next one year. This will promote energy production. He said that the subsidy would be given for 1 to 5 kW by the state government. The state government will make arrangements for distributing produced energy. He also directed to establish industry at Bheemtal and Kotdwar to make solar panels in the state with the support of SIDCUL. He said that it was government’s priority to solve the problems regarding electricity and water in the state.
The CM Shri Rawat directed to felicitate the Principal of Government Primary School, Tarikhet Ganesh Chandra Paliwal for preparing midday meal on solar cooker from last three years. He also directed to prepare plan to install small solar plants in inappropriate land in rural areas.
The Principal Secretary Dr. Umakant Panwar informed that a scheme is being run to provide Dish Solar Cookers for preparing midday meal in schools and other families also. He said that up to 50 percent LPG gas could be saved by using solar cooker. Given the unavailability of gas in hilly regions, the use of solar cooker is a good option.
The Chief Principal Secretary Rakesh Sharma and Additional Secretary and Director UREDA Ashish Joshi with other officials were present on the occasion.
