2000 new entrepreneurs in one year in the state
dehradun The Chief Minister Harish Rawat took a meeting with the top officials of MSME at Bijapur Guest House on Monday. During the meeting the CM Shri Rawat directed the officials to prepare 2000 new entrepreneurs in one year in the state. He said that the policy set under MSME, should be modified if required. He also directed to work with coordination with other concerning departments to link more and more people with self-employment.
The CM Shri Rawat instructed to identify places in Bhagwanpur, Landhora and other hilly areas for wood crafts and wood carving. Crafts Villages must be developed in Nainital, Massoorie and Char Dham Yatra route. The wood of walnut, Sheesham and Devdar are available in the state. Their attractive products can help to attract the tourists. He also directed to set small markets for local products in state’s entry points. The participation of women self help groups must be ensured in these markets.
The CM Shri Rawat said that efforts should be made to establish industries in hilly areas of the state. He directed to promote poultry farming and reviving sick units also. There is a need to prepare environment for promoting industries in the state. He directed to conduct extensive awareness program for MSME policy, CM Self-employment Program and Women Entrepreneur Special Incentive Scheme in the state.
The MLA Navprabhat, Umesh Sharma, Ranjeet Rawat, Chief Secretary Shatrughan Singh, Chief Principal Secretary Rakesh Sharma, Principal Secretary Manisha Panwar, Secretary Amit Negi and Secretary V.K. Sant were present on the program.
